Seven Years War
The French and Indian war was part of the bigger war in Europe called the Seven Years. Many people would actually consider it the first World War. There was fighting in North American, Europe, and India. Some countries in Europe who were fighting with the British and French were Austria, Saxony, Russia, Sweden, Prussia and Hanover.
As well as affecting many cultures, the French and Indian War affected the world today and shortly after the fact. If the British had not won then the Revolution may never have started and America may not be what it is today and the French would have come farther into America and populate more of it.
